Run Kelly Run

We were supposed to have a two hour layover in Chicago but the first train was 2 hours late. They said they were going to bus us to the next station to catch the train there but my buddy Susan said that she called and they were holding the train for all the people from the Empire builder. I originally was going to take a train to Pittsburg then another one to Newark. When I had to change my tickets the Amtrak agent and I came across the direct train to Newark. I was so happy that I don’t have to worry about switching trains at 4am with the boys. I didn’t realize that it was going to be 5 hours longer. Oh well still no 4 am switch so that is good. I also thought that the route was more direct but it isn’t. But we get to go through Charlottesville! Whoohoo! Too bad we probably won’t stop long enough to see anyone. It would be great it I could meet my buddy Lynne there. I guess we will just have to meet her some other time though. We probably will be going through Fredericksburg also but I’m not sure. Better sign off so I can post before I loose signal. The nice people behind us are letting Tristan watch happy Feet on their DVD player so he is thrilled. Evan is just hungry, like always…

So much for often updates…

Since Rob isn’t with us, I get to deal with two bored boys. Who are currently freezing right now. It’s about 45 degrees here. So I’ve been dealing with them instead of any relaxing. I’m not sure if we will tale the train for this long anytime soon. The boys seem to want to eat across country. LOL when I first typed that it said “war across the country” that’s pretty accurate too. They are finally asleep so I get to use the phone now.

On the train

Well we have made it to the train. I am sure my friend Kara was amused by my near panic attack while waiting for the train tickets. We have been on the train for half an hour an the boys are just everywhere! Let’s play with this you, let’s eat these snacks. Mommy I need to go potty. Mommy I need more water. Can I give them the Benedryl now?

And the train leaves…

Without us. The movers first scheduled for Thursday or Friday put it off to Saturday then Sunday now Monday. We changed the train tickets and bought Rob a flight all scheduled for Tuesday. I sure hope they show up by then. We finally got a call from the moving truck saying then would be here in the morning. Well it is 10:30 now and no sign of them. I’ll try to post more later.

I really hate moving

The movers originally were supposed to be here Thursday or Friday (today) but they pushed it to Saturday. That’s okay. Our train doesn’t leave until 9pm Sunday evening. Now they tell me they might pick up Sunday or Monday. Um, that whole our train leaves Sunday makes that a slight problem. Yelling at the movers didn’t do much food so I changed our train tickets and got Rob a flight instead. I will most definitely be contacting the better business bureau
when this is all over. I am going to wait until they deliver our stuff before I start fussing too much. The word ‘lawyer’ has been mentioned.
You know, had I known this was going to happen I wouldn’t have shut off my Internet already. Sigh.

Oops…

I sort of forgot to mention to everyone the reason for the move. Rob got a job at Church and DeWight in Princeton, NJ. He’ll be a research chemist there. It’s going to be nice to get back to that side of the country. One of Rob’s brother lives close by so we will be near family and that’s nice. And thenVA and NC arent too far from NJ so that will be nice also. This is just a quick update while waiting Goethe bus. Rob’s car is already in NJ and mine is at the scrap yard. . Time to run, see ya!

Finally got some dates

The movers will be here on Saturday. Not quite what we hoped but better than Monday! I am headed off to Wally Works yet again to get more tape. We ran out last night but we still have stuff to box. I have a bunch of stuff done this morning so I am feeling pretty good right now. Should be there soon so I’ll sign off.
